How this connects to my hero's journey:This song is absolutely perfect for my hero's theme song. The whole story idea is wrapped around the incredible ability to communicate with nature, and in a way be apart of nature. The whole world is going technology crazy, but all Jade has been exposed to is how things are before this time period. It's about the nature and not being so "with the times" and how she is isolated from the world we live in today. So, this song fits the meaning and my characters super natural power perfectly. I feel the concept of both this song and my story are both easily connected. In the song it is talking about allowing nature to grow, and not kill it for all these advancements- to let things grow and take on new adventures. The lyric "How high will the sycamore grow? If you cut it down you'll never know" is a really good example of this. This all connects to my story ideas like how Jade's grandparents need to let her go out into town, and how the world is becoming too technology based.
